Interim Management in time of transition

Fertin Pharma, a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry with a turnover of 1,5 billion DKK, was facing significant challenges in the production leadership. With a workforce of 350 people and 15 middle managers, the company needed strong and effective leadership to maintain its production efficiency and meet its business objectives.

There was an urgent need for an experienced and capable Production Director who could quickly adapt to the company's environment, address the challenges, and drive positive changes.

 

A tailored executive search starts

Understanding the urgency of the situation, we proposed an interim leadership solution to Fertin Pharma. Our plan was to provide highly qualified interim candidates who could step in immediately and stabilise the production department. The strategy was marked by several key phases:

 

  1. Candidate selection: Within three days, we presented three highly qualified CVs of potential interim Production Directors to Fertin Pharma.
  2. Interview process: Fertin Pharma conducted two rounds of interviews over the course of one week. This efficient interview process ensured that the best candidate was selected without unnecessary delays.
  3. Contract finalisation: A contract was signed with the chosen candidate shortly after the interviews, allowing them to begin their role promptly.
  4. Interim leadership: The selected candidate began work as an interim Production Director for a six-month period.

Transition to permanent role

Due to the interim Production Director's exceptional performance and positive impact on the production department, Fertin Pharma decided to offer the Interim Production Director a permanent position. The transition was seamless, and the interim leader became the full-time Production Director.
